I feel like I am going to throw up

McKala and Xenia went to their first day of school. In the car outside of the school Xe nia asked, “Mom how can I stop feeling so nervous?” That is so Xenia. McKala said she felt like she was going to throw up. That is so McKala. I can’t believe that they went ahead and went forward. Are we the most aweful tortuous parents ever? I knew exactly how they were feeling. After talking to my boss I thought for sure he was going to fire me. He was so shocked by my news of being in France and now being without a computer that he just said we will have to talk next week. I told the girls that what they were feeling was like being on a roller coaster. Xenia even gave me a soft little “weeeeeeeeeee” Somehow that didn’t help me much. I walked around the hardware store looking for plumber’s tape so that we can turn the washing machine on, wondering how you say tape in case I felt brave, in a complete brain cloud too afraid to even think.

That was yesterday. Xenia and McKala were so ecstatic after school. They had a great time. Even though they wer there from 8 to 5 they both felt like the day just flew by. They made some friends and really enjoyed the whole experience.

I talked to a coworker for a a couple of hours and I felt moe connected to work. They may still fire me tomorrow, but that was always the case. Any security I may have felt before was not real. Bahaiyyih, my coworker, said that her husband just got laid off from Bank of America. I woke up this morning, built a fire in the fireplace, woke up McKala and Xenia, ate french bread and yogurt in the cute little kitchen, I read my scriptures in front of a blazing fire, I then drove through the French countryside passing cows and castles and after dropping the girls off at school watching them be excited for school, I thought, “life is short I might as well enjoy what I can” Later I will walk to the boulangerie, pick up a loaf of French bread for 50 cents, stop by the boucher for cheese and perhaps some chorizo, I will enter our French manor and think that I (we) have it pretty good.
